Configurating a HAZ sensor for use in a SENSE-4 kit
Prior to use with a SENSE-4 kit, the HAZ sensor supplied must be configured for both the communication type and also the oil it is to be used in.
The sensor is configured using the Tan Delta CADS application and a HAZ configuration cable (Cable X), both supplied with the SENSE-4 kit.
HAZ sensor and Cable XThe sensor should be connected to the cable X using the following connections:
The sensor can then be configured using CADS as per the following steps:
Select "Configure OQSx" from the home screen
Connect sensor to PC using Cable X and select sensor to continue
Set communication type to Custom Communication Settings > Modbus RTU over RS485 > Node ID 1 > Bit Rate 9.600 kbps
Select the oil you are installing the sensor into from the database
Upload settings to the sensorThe sensor is now configured and can be installed into the rest of the SENSE-4 kit.
